Trivium VS Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, logging into, or using the Trivium VS mobile or web application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our accompanying Privacy Policy.

This Service is owned and operated by Dance Adjudication Network CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in the United Kingdom. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Age Eligibility (Strictly 18+)

Trivium VS is designed as a professional development and educational platform for adults.

  • Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use this Service.
  • Falsification of Age: Providing false information regarding your age during registration is a material breach of these Terms.
  • Liability Disclaimer: Dance Adjudication Network CIC disclaims all liability for unauthorized access by minors who circumvent our age-verification measures. If we discover an account belongs to anyone under 18, it will be terminated immediately.

3. User Accounts, Security, and Responsibility

  • Account Credentials: You are entirely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (username, password, or login tokens).
  • Account Liability: You are legally and operationally responsible for all activities, votes, scores, and comments that occur under your account.
  • Strictly Personal Use: Your account is personal to you. You may not sell, trade, share, or allow any other individual to use your profile to submit judgments. Sharing accounts compromises the data integrity of our historical panels and your own judging track record.

4. Leaderboard Integrity, XP, and Fair Play

The Trivium VS leaderboard exists to showcase the dedication, skill, and consistency of shadow judges. To protect the integrity of these metrics, you agree to the following rules:

  • No Automation: You are prohibited from using bots, automated scripts, scrapers, or external software to submit votes, log streaks, or accumulate Experience Points (XP).
  • Anti-Manipulation (Tactical Voting): You must evaluate battles honestly and in good faith using the Trivium Judging Framework (Body, Mind, Soul). Submitting intentionally skewed or randomized scores to manipulate community consensus, disrupt leaderboard positioning, or troll the platform is strictly prohibited.
  • Audits and Penalties: Dance Adjudication Network CIC reserves the sole right to audit judging data, reset streaks, strip improperly earned XP, or permanently remove accounts from the Live Leaderboard if we detect fraudulent activity.

5. Media, Broadcast, and Podcast Rights

A core feature of Trivium VS is "edutainment"—bridging the gap between practice and public community discussion.

  • Public Data Visibility: By submitting verdicts, you acknowledge that your chosen username, leaderboard ranking, active streaks, and scores will be visible to other verified platform users once they submit their own votes.
  • The DAN Podcast License: You grant Dance Adjudication Network CIC a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, read out, analyze, and discuss your submitted comments, public username, and judging statistics on the DAN Podcast, social media channels, and within our educational materials.
  • Anonymity Rule: If you do not want your real name or public profile broadcast or discussed on air, it is your sole responsibility to register and operate your account under a pseudonymous alias.

6. User-Generated Content & Community Conduct

Trivium VS features comment and debate boards to unpack split decisions and break down battle rounds. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for toxic behavior.

  • The Standard: All communication must remain constructive, professional, and directly focused on the art and skill of judging.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You must not post, upload, or transmit any content that is abusive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise hateful. This includes personal attacks targeted at fellow app users, official event judging panels, event promoters, or the dancers featured in the curated videos.
  • Enforcement: We reserve the absolute right to monitor, hide, or permanently delete any content that violates these rules, and to suspend or permanently ban offending accounts without prior notice or right of appeal.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Provided "As-Is": The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to uptime, technical glitches, or app availability.
  • No Guarantee of Employment or Bookings: Important Notice: While Trivium VS is a tool designed to help you build a professional profile, accumulate XP, and track your judging consistency, achieving a high leaderboard rank or maintaining "Trained" status within the app does not guarantee real-world employment, bookings, compensation, or official certification by external event organizers, promoters, or international dance federations.
  • Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Dance Adjudication Network CIC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising under this agreement.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or through your registered email address. Your continued use of Trivium VS after such updates constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
